Three Floral Milks to Sip on This Winter
Strawberries are in season in Israel, so of course, I’m thinking of all the ways I can use them. Ripe juicy berries full of vitamins and fiber; I can just feel my health improving.
Typically I’ll make a smoothie. However, it’s also the beginning of winter, and I don’t always feel like drinking something heavy and cold.
These floral milks are supposed to be sipped cool. They are not thick like a smoothie. They are ideal for a sweet mid-day or evening snack. I find them to be really comforting while also being a bit luxurious.
You can definitely taste the floral essence of these milks, which I love, but I know is definitely not for everyone. I think that adding the fruit definitely softens them a bit, so I encourage you to give them a try!

Notes
For the floral notes, I use rose water and dried lavender and chamomile. Make sure that you are using food grade ingredients.
Rose water can typically be found in the Middle Eastern/Indian food sections of your supermarket or a Middle Eastern/Indian specialty shop.
Lavender may be a bit harder to find. I believe I found mine in either William Sonoma or Whole Foods. Of course, you can definitely find some on Amazon!
These recipes make about 1-2 servings and are best if they are consumed the same day.
So… here is how I made these deliciously-romantic drinks!

I’ve loved these types of floral flavors since I first discovered them. I always choose the rose macaron or the lavender lemon shortbread.
How about you? Are you a fan of floral flavors too?
